AHRC CULTURE & MIND PROJECT - NEW POSTDOC POST
Dear Culture and Mind project participant,
There is a new three-year postdoc position available with the AHRC Culture
and the Mind project. I'd be very grateful if you could encourage any
appropriate candidates for this post that you may know - current or former
Phd students, or others - to apply.
Applicants should expect to have completed their PhD by October 2008, when
the post begins. Applicants can be from any field (e.g., Philosophy,
Anthropology, Psychology), but as the post is based in the Philosophy
Department at the University of Sheffield, they will be expected to interact
with members of the Philosophy Department.
The post is mainly a research position, but the person appointed will also
assist with project administration (helping to organize workshops, etc., as
Simon Fitzpatrick now does), and will also be expected to teach one advanced
undergraduate course in Philosophy of Psychology for each of the first two
years of the post (focusing on whichever topics interest them in this area).
(The total teaching associated with the post will be two courses total over
a three year period). With nearly 150 researchers currently involved in the
project, the post also offers the opportunity to interact with many of top
scholars in Philosophy, Anthropology, and Psychology (see "People" pages on
project website for more information).
For further information about the post, please see the AHRC Culture and the
Mind homepage and follow the link for more information:
